Italy election: Nation in 'dramatic situation'

The words ‘Italy ungovernable’ appear in large black letters on the front of one of the country's bigger newspapers. The headline pretty much sums up the mood in the aftermath of this inconclusive election. Centre-left leader Pier Luigi Bersani says Italy is in a ‘dramatic situation’ after election results that leave the country in political stalemate. Stock markets and the euro have fallen amid concerns the deadlock could re-ignite the eurozone debt crisis. But Mr Bersani, whose coalition won most seats in parliament, did not identify a preferred partner in government. He said all political parties should take responsibility for the country. Centre-right leader Silvio Berlusconi said earlier that fresh elections should be avoided, and called for a period of reflection. Other European countries have urged Italian politicians to create a stable government as soon as possible - with France and Germany urging continued reform and Spain describing the result as a ‘jump to nowhere’.

Pray: for a speedy resolution to this political deadlock. (Mal.2:2)

EU leaders welcome outcome of Cypriot elections

EU Parliament's President Martin Schulz has welcomed the outcome of presidential elections in Cyprus. Nicos Anastasiades captured 57.5 per cent of the vote in a run-off against communist rival Stavros Malas on Sunday. Anastasiades, the leader of Cyprus centre-right party, immediately vowed to resume talks quickly with international bailout lenders and finalise a €17bn rescue by the end of March. Anastasiades' victory is likely to come as a relief to most EU leaders, including Germany's Angela Merkel, who had wearied with outgoing president Demetris Christofias, who failed to secure a deal for more than a year to an EU and International Monetary Fund bailout. Anastasiades will also now aim to exploit massive natural gas finds off Cyprus' coast, bringing in badly needed income and energy, but risking escalating tensions with Turkey.

Pray: for the new government of Cyprus that it will bring stability to the country. (Pr.29:4)

Testify World is a communication tool to share testimony of God’s work in this world. John Robb has shared “How Prayer is Transforming Nations” and is on the Testify World YouTube channel (https://www.youtube.com/user/TestifyWorld)

For now is the time for the harvest of the earth. It is time for the every tongue and tribe on this terrestrial sphere who will ascribe glory to my Name, says the Lord.

This morning I saw a vision of a great worship service before the throne of God. People's were standing and worshipping together to represent their nation before the throne.

However, the sound of worship was very small from certain of the regions. A few, mainly martyrs were faithfully standing before the throne of God, crying out to the Lord, "How long, O Lord, before you avenge our blood?"

Their cries reached the throne of God and He whoever lives to make intercession turned to the hosts of heaven. The great Captain of the Lord of hosts commanded them with His voice with the sound of many waters.

"I MUST ANSWER THEIR CRIES!” Go find those who will avenge the blood of the martyrs and harvest their nations.

At this, I could begin to hear the groaning of the earth for the manifestation of the sons of God to see the harvest.

It was if the intercessors became living stones who were becoming part of a building. I was curious what it would become.  Then I knew, they were rebuilding the tabernacle of David. It was the manifestation of Acts 15:16. The living stones were singing! They were worshipping!

The Holy Spirit began to convict the intercessors of the need to fill the void where there was no sound. One by one they took up the song of the nations.

Heaven joined in for God's will to be done on earth as it is in heaven until there was no place in the earth where intercessory worship was not taking place.

The intercession ripened the earth. And then the LORD OF THE HARVEST released the anointing for evangelism into the earth. Revivalists and a new generation of burning ones for God were thrust the harvest.

Thousands of new missionaries went out across the most unreached parts of the earth. Whole sectors of society were reformed and transformed. A new justice cry went out as righteousness and justice were married in the earth.

Then God arose and shook the nations. The King wanted the nations for His inheritance.

This resulted in prayer houses and towers being placed in every part of society. The great harvest of the earth has begin! Every tongue, every tribe, every kindred will bow before the throne of the King of Kings and Lord of Lords.

South Sudan: Transforming lives

South Sudan has a low rate of life expectancy. Children born with complications are at a significant disadvantage. But the lifes of Arual and her family were transformed with the help of a German missionary and MAF (Mission Aviation Fellowship). Arual was born with Spina Bifida and noone expected her to live long. But God had other plans. A missionary visiting Arul’s wider family heard about Arual and made enquiries at a hospital in Kenya. She discovered a paediatric neurosurgeon specialising in deformed spines who treats patients from all over Africa. Arual travelled from her village in South Sudan to Juba flew with MAF to Nairobi on a free flight provided by MAF. Within 24 hours she was undergoing surgery. When she was well and ready to leave, MAF organised to fly her back to her overjoyed family. The father praised God and testified that now he believes God really loves him.

Praise: God for the amazing plans that he has for Arual, her family and each of their lives. (Jer.29:11)
